Federal Employees Compensation Act (FECA)

The Poti Law Office provides representation in the following areas related to FECA:

  • Representation before your local OWCP District Office
  • Reconsideration appeals before your local OWCP District Office.
  • Hearings before the OWCP Branch of Hearings and Review.
  • Representation before the Employees' Compensation Appeals Board (ECAB)

Federal civilian employees who are injured while working on the job for an agency of the United States are entitled to benefits under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act.  FECA is administered by the Department of Labor, Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP). The Employees Compensation Appeals Board (ECAB) is the final decision maker on FECA claims.

FECA claims can be complicated, time consuming and frustrating for the claimant. A failure to follow the rules or to submit required evidence can result in a complete denial of benefits.
